Annegret Kuhn

Annegret Kuhn (born May 12, 1967 in Heidelberg ) is a German dermatologist , adjunct professor and, since March 1, 2017, has been the head of the staff unit of the Board of Management for Corporate Development and Strategic Coordination of the Münster University Hospital (UKM) .

Life

After graduating from the Kurfürst-Friedrich-Gymnasium in Heidelberg in 1986 , Kuhn completed a semester at Boston University , Massachusetts, USA, and at the Free University of Berlin , before studying human medicine at the University of Göttingen and the University of Munich between 1987 and 1994 . After a clinic and research stay at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF), California, USA, Kuhn completed her studies with the state examination.

From 1994 to 2008 Kuhn was at the Dermatology Clinic of the University Hospital Dusseldorf as a doctor or senior physician operates. In 2001 she obtained a specialist in dermatology and venereology as well as laboratory expertise and, in 2003, further training in allergology. After moving as a senior physician to the Department of Dermatology at the University Hospital in Münster , she was re- qualified as a professor at the University of Münster in 2009 , where she was also an adjunct professor until the beginning of 2016. In 2016 Kuhn acquired the Venia Legendi and an adjunct professorship at the University of Mainz . In 2018, she returned to Münster University , where she also holds an unscheduled professorship.

In 2005 Kuhn established the research group “Autoimmune Diseases of the Skin” in the Department of Immunogenetics, with a focus on tumor immunology, at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in Heidelberg, which she is still head of today. In particular, she specializes in the pathogenesis of lupus erythematosus and the development of new diagnostic and therapeutic options for this autoimmune disease . In addition, she is the founder and chairwoman of the European Society of Cutaneous Lupus Erythematosus (EUSCLE) eV and heads a. a. interdisciplinary bodies for the development of diagnostic and therapeutic guidelines. Since 2010, Kuhn has completed numerous advanced training courses in the field of clinical and science management, e. Since 2008 Kuhn has been on the scientific advisory board for the Lupus Erythematodes Self-Help Association and since 2015 on the scientific advisory board at TRON (Translational Oncology at the University Medical Center of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz gGmbH), she is also a reviewer for the German Research Foundation (DFG) for the North Rhine-Westphalia Ministry of Economics and numerous specialist journals.

From October 2014 to February 2017, Kuhn took over the management of the Interdisciplinary Center for Clinical Studies (IZKS) at the University Medical Center of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz . In this function, she was involved in numerous specialist disciplines in the Europe-wide organization and implementation of clinical studies and translational research.

Since March 1, 2017, Kuhn has been in charge of the staff position of the Board of Management Corporate Development and Strategic Coordination of the University Hospital Münster (UKM) .
