The Ansbach rises in the eastern Hintertaunus at an altitude of about 363 m above sea level. NHN in a meadow near Leipziger Strasse on the western edge of the village of the Neu-Anspach district of Anspach .
It flows in an easterly direction through initially through grassland, then disappears piped into the subsoil and finally flows into the Taunusstraße , in the center of the locality and at an altitude of about 337 m above sea level.
