The Eisenbach rises in the eastern Hintertaunus at an altitude of about 343  m above sea level. NN in a green zone between the Hausen and Arnsbach settlements in the Neu-Anspach district of Hausen-Arnsbach .

It flows in a north-easterly direction through the green strip between the two settlements, crosses under the K 734, then turns its course more north and finally flows between Hausen-Arnsbach and the Neu-Anspach district of Westerfeld at an altitude of about 291  m above sea level. Its 1.4 km long run ends about 52 meters below its source, so it has a mean bed gradient of about 37 ‰.
