Anthony Mortas (born February 13, 1974 in Reims ) is a former French ice hockey player .

Career

Anthony Mortas began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of the Hockey Club de Reims , for whose professional team he was active from 1991 to 2002 in the Ligue Magnus , the top French division. In 2000 and 2002 he won the French championship title with his team . As a result of the second championship title, the Hockey Club de Reims went bankrupt and the center moved within the Ligue Magnus to HC Amiens Somme , with whom he was also French champion in 2004. After a total of 21 years in the professional field, the left-handed shooter ended his career at the age of 38 in Amiens following the 2011/12 season .

International

For France , Mortas took part in the junior division at the U18 Junior B European Championship in 1992 and the U20 Junior B World Championships in 1993 and 1994 . In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the B World Championships in 2002 , 2003 and 2006 and at the A World Championships in 1997 , 1998 , 1999 , 2000 and 2004 . He also represented France at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano and 2002 in Salt Lake City .
