Antonina Yefremova

Antonina Jefremova ( Ukrainian Антоніна Єфремова , English transcription Antonina Yefremova ; born July 19, 1981 ) is a Ukrainian sprinter who specializes in the 400-meter run .

Life

The U23 European champion from 2001 came sixth at the 2002 European Championships in Munich and reached the semi-finals at the 2003 World Athletics Championships in Paris / Saint-Denis and at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. At the World Championships in Helsinki in 2005 , she was eliminated in advance.

In 2008 she was fourth at the World Indoor Championships in Valencia , but did not get past the preliminary round at the Olympic Games in Beijing . 2010 was sixth at the European Championships in Barcelona .

In the 4 x 400 meter relay , she won bronze with the Ukrainian team at the Universiade 2005 and gold at the Universiade 2007.

Shortly before the 2012 Olympic Games , she was banned for two years at the 2011 World Athletics Championships for doping with synthetic testosterone . Yefremova had been convicted during a follow-up test and had refrained from opening the B sample.
