The Apostolic Vicariate Mongo ( Latin : Apostolicus Vicariatus Mongensis ) is a Roman Catholic Apostolic Vicariate based in Mongo in Chad . It includes the regions of Guéra , Batha , Ouaddaï , Wadi Fira , Borkou , Ennedi , Tibesti and Salamat .

history

Pope John Paul II founded the Apostolic Prefecture on December 1, 2001 from ceding territories of the Archdiocese of N'Djaména and the Diocese of Sarh with the Bull Universae Ecclesiae . On June 3, 2009, she was elevated to the position of Vicariate Apostolic . It has been headed by Henri Coudray SJ , who was appointed bishop when he was promoted to vicariate.
