The Apostolic Vicariate Tierradentro ( Latin : Apostolicus Vicariatus Tierradentroënsis , Spanish : Vicariato Apostólico de Tierradentro ) is a Roman Catholic Apostolic Vicariate based in the Colombian region of Tierradentro . Its territory includes the municipalities of Inzá and Páez .

history

The Apostolic Vicariate Tierradentro was on May 13, 1921 by Pope Benedict XV. established from the cession of territory by the Archdiocese of Popayán as the Apostolic Prefecture of Tierradentro . On February 17, 2000, the Apostolic Prefecture Tierradentro was raised to the Apostolic Vicariate by Pope John Paul II .
