Aralık is a former village in the district of Bismil the Turkish province of Diyarbakir . Aralık is located about 60 km southeast of the provincial capital Diyarbakır and 4 km south of Bismil. According to the last census, Aralık had 2,859 inhabitants (2014). The village was built around the year 1740. Since a regional reform in 2014, the place is a Machalla | district of the district town Bismil.
The population consists mainly of Sunni Turks . Along with Bakacak , Eliaçık , Karamusa , Köseli , Recep , Türkmenhacı and Ulutürk, Aralık is one of the few villages in the Diyarbakır province to be settled by Turks.
