Arnold Rutkowski

Arnold Rutkowski (* in Łódź ) is a tenor of Polish origin.

life and career

Rutkowski received training from 1999–2005 at the Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Music Academy in Łódź. During this time he appeared in Bornholm in Denmark as Ferrando in Così fan tutte by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. After graduating, he was invited to St. Moritz , Switzerland, where he sang Un giorno di regno by Giuseppe Verdi.

His international career began in 2009 after his debut in Modena at the Luciano Pavarotti Theater . In the same year he was invited by Plácido Domingo to perform in Poland during his concert and to take part in the international Operalia competition, where he won the CulturArte Prize.

From 2006 to 2008 he expanded his repertoire to include the roles of Rodolfo, Duca, Don Jose, Alfredo and Ismaele by performing in the Breslau Opera and the Teatr Wielki in Warsaw (Rodolfo, Stefan). In 2009 he appeared as Don Jose in the Teatro de la Opera in San Juan (Puerto Rico) and in the Phoenix Metropolitan Opera (USA). In 2009 she performed at the Teatro Comunale in Ferrara and at the Teatro Alighieri in Ravenna .

In 2010 Arnold Rutkowski made his debut in Germany and sang the role of Duca at the Rigoletto Gala in the Wiesbaden Opera House. In 2011 he appeared at the Rheingau Music Festival - Great Opera Gala and made his radio debut for Bayerischer Rundfunk with the Münchner Rundfunkorchester . Shortly afterwards he sang in Madama Butterfly at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf. In 2011, he appeared at the Michigan Opera Theater in Detroit in the role of Duck in Rigoletto . In the 2010-2011 season he performed at the Berlin State Opera , the Finnish National Opera in Helsinki and at the Szeged Open Air Festival in Hungary. In the 2011 season Rutkowski sang in the Royal Opera in Stockholm, in the State Opera in Hamburg and in Vienna .

In 2011 he appeared again in the Berlin State Opera as Lenski in Eugen Onegin by PI Tchaikovsky. He also sang Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, Don Jose in Carmen in the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf and Duck in Rigoletto in Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow .

Prices

In 2009 Arnold Rutkowski won the European Jan Kiepura competition and the CulturArte prize of the international Operalia competition. He also received the audience award at the Klassikmania Competition in Vienna.
