Arnsgrün is a district of the city of Adorf / Vogtl. in the Vogtland district .

Arnsgrün is in the northwest of the municipality and borders three other districts of Adorf and a district of the municipality of Eichigt .

The approximately 312 hectares large Waldhufendorf was 1,378 as Arnoldisgune first mentioned. The name is derived from the personal name Arnold . Arnsgrün belonged to the Voigtsberg office until the 19th century . From 1875 the village belonged to the Oelsnitz administrative authority and then to the Oelsnitz district until it was incorporated into the city of Adorf on July 1, 1950.

On the Catholic side, the place is assigned to the parish of St. Joseph (Adorf) in the diocese of Dresden-Meißen , which also has a branch church in Bad Elster ( St. Elisabeth ).

Former Arnsgrün stop (2019)

The Arnsgrün stop was on the Aš – Adorf railway line . The German section of the track in 1945 after destruction of the bridge over the White Elster shut down .
