Arthur Henrique Bernhardt , short name: Arthuro (born August 27, 1982 in Florianópolis , Santa Catarina ) is a Brazilian football player with an Italian passport who plays as a center forward for the Spanish third division club CE Sabadell .

Soccer career

After a short stint in Germany at Hamburger SV in the youth, Arthuro started his professional career in 1999 at Criciúma EC . The following year, at the age of 18, he moved back abroad and spent three years at Middlesbrough FC , where he was not used in the first team.

In 2003, the attacker decided to move to Racing Santander , where he came on seven appearances and three goals for the reserve team in the third-highest Spanish division. Another year later, the Spanish second division Sporting Gijón signed him . In 25 games he scored six goals. After only one season, Deportivo Alavés signed him . In three years he scored six goals in 29 games. He was also loaned to FC Córdoba in 2007 .

Sorted out by Alavés in June 2008, Arthuro surprisingly moved to Romania to join the Champions League participant Steaua Bucharest . After six months, the Brazilian said goodbye with one goal from nine games. In 2009 the Russian provincial club Terek Grozny signed him . He was never used, so he moved to Flamengo Rio de Janeiro in his homeland in May of the same year .

In his home country, however, he was also not successful and therefore joined the Spanish second division club Celta Vigo . At the beginning of January 2010, however, after weak performances in eleven games, both parties agreed to terminate the contract. However, Arthuro quickly found a new employer, Al-Dhafra in the United Arab Emirates .
