Arthur Schulz (sculptor)

Werner Bruno Arthur Schulz (born August 16, 1873 in Berlin ; † 1943 ) was a German sculptor .

Life

Arthur Schulz studied architecture for a few semesters at the Technical University of Charlottenburg and then switched to sculpting. In 1893/97 he studied at the Berlin Academy of Fine Arts with Gerhard Janensch . After his artistic training, he stayed in Berlin.

In addition to monuments, busts and small sculptures, building sculptures, especially reliefs, were part of his work. Nothing is known about his life after the First World War.

In 1900 Schulz published the three-volume portfolio Deutsche Sculpturen der Neuzeit in Berlin .
