Ascenso MX 2014/15

The 2014/15 season is the sixth season since the establishment of the Liga de Ascenso, a league in Mexican club football that has been officially known as Ascenso MX since the summer of 2013 .

Changes

While the preseason was contested by 15 teams, this time only 14 teams take part. Only ten of them were already there in the preseason.

In purely sporting terms , only the first division climber Leones Negros and the relegated from the same, Atlante , swapped places. The athletically entitled climber from the third division Segunda División , Atlético Coatzacoalcos , waived the promotion for financial reasons and the athletic relegated CD Zacatepec secured relegation by acquiring the license from Cruz Azul Hidalgo , who withdrew to the third division. The other teams that withdrew from the league were the CD Estudiantes Tecos , Delfines del Carmen and the CF Ballenas Galeana . The CD Irapuato , Deportivo Tepic and the Mineros de Zacatecas have been added to the league .
