The Aschbach is a right tributary of the Anlauter near Burgsalach in the central Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen .

The Aschbach rises at an altitude of 546  m above sea level. NN on the eastern outskirts of Pfraunfeld on a plateau of the Weißenburger Alb , a mountain range of the Franconian Alb . It flows steadily in an easterly direction. The Aschbach flows after a run of about 0.8 kilometers at an altitude of 524  m above sea level. NN east of Pfraunfeld from the right into the Anlauter. During its entire course, the stream crosses a wide open landscape .
