Assistance publique - Hôpitaux de Paris
The Assistance publique - Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP) is a hospital association and a public health facility (French établissement public de santé ) in the greater Paris area . With 37 hospitals, more than 90,000 employees and almost 22,500 beds, the Assistance publique is one of the largest institutions in Europe.

The affiliated hospitals are divided into four groupements hospitaliers universitaires (GHU) and 12 groupes hospitaliers (GH). In addition to the hospitals in Paris, it also includes facilities throughout the Île-de-France region and four facilities in other departments.

Distribution of beds
The AP-HP has a total of 22,474 inpatient care places. Almost 14,000 of these beds are available for acute care. A little more than a third of all beds are intended for remobilization and long-term care.

museum
The Assistance publique also runs a museum in the Hôtel de Miramion. The museum opened in 1934 and uses around 8,000 objects to convey the history of Paris hospitals.
