The Associação Desportiva São Caetano , São Caetano for short , is a football club founded on December 4, 1989 from the city of São Caetano do Sul , effectively a suburb in the east of the Brazilian metropolis of São Paulo , only 11 km away.

The club colors are blue and white. The club stadium is called Anacleto Campanella and has 22,738 seats.

In 2002 AD São Caetano almost won the Copa Libertadores , the South American counterpart to the UEFA Champions League . The first leg was won 2-1 at Club Olimpia in the Paraguayan capital Asunción . The second leg was lost in front of a home crowd with the same result. The team from Paraguay finally secured their third success in the history of the competition with 4-2 goals on penalties.
