Astrid Stricker

Astrid Stricker (* 1964 in Eckernförde ) is a German draftsman and sculptor .

Life

Astrid Stricker studied sculpture from 1988 to 1994 with Ulrich Rückriem , Georg Herold and Franz West at the Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main. Between 1993 and 1994 she also studied with Jannis Kounellis at the Düsseldorf Art Academy . She is a master student of Georg Herold.

In 1998 Astrid Stricker received the studio grant from the Hessian Cultural Foundation for London , in 1999 the studio grant " Künstlerhaus Schloss Balmoral " in Bad Ems and in 2001 a work grant for visual artists from the State of Hesse .

Astrid Stricker has also been a professor at German art academies and universities since 2001 . In 2001 she received a teaching position (class for drawing) at the Kunsthochschule Mainz , between 2003 and 2010 she taught drawing and graphics at the Institute for Art Education at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and since 2011 she has been a lecturer for "Drawing in Context" from the Kassel Art College .

Astrid Stricker lives and works in Berlin.
