Astrid Vockert (born November 27, 1956 in Sellstedt , Schiffdorf municipality ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament from 1990 to 2017 .

Vockert did her Abitur in Bremerhaven . This was followed by a teaching degree for upper secondary level . From 1980 to 1982 she was a youth carer in Lunestedt in the district of Cuxhaven . This was followed by a legal clerkship at the Bremervörde grammar school from 1983 to 1984 . From 1984 to 1990 she was employed as a teacher and social worker in the Kreishandwerkerschaft Bremerhaven-Wesermünde .

In addition to her parliamentary work, she was chairwoman of the state association of adult education centers in Lower Saxony and deputy chairwoman of the Lower Saxony Federation for Free Adult Education .

Vockert has been a member of the CDU since 1981. At the local level, she is the deputy chairwoman of the CDU district association of Cuxhaven and chairwoman of the women's union in the district association of Stade .

Astrid Vockert has been a member of the Schiffdorf municipal council since 1986 and has been a member of the district council of the Cuxhaven district since 1991 .

From 1990 to 2017 Astrid Vockert was a member of the state parliament, from 2003 to 2013 she was its vice-president. There she represented the constituency of Unterweser and belonged to the culture committee of parliament. To state election in 2017 it did not happen again.

She is a member of the Presidium of the Lower Saxony Association of Towns and Municipalities and Deputy Chairwoman of the Administrative Board of Kreissparkasse Wesermünde-Hadeln and a member of the Credit Committee. She is chairman of the parliamentary advisory board of the Förderverein Pro A 22 eV, of which she is also a member.
