Attila Orbán ( Hungarian Orbán Attila ; born June 1, 1990 in Szekszárd ) is a Hungarian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Dunaújvárosi Acélbikák in the MOL League since August 2017 .

Career

Attila Orbán began his career as a hockey player in the youth division of Dunaújvárosi Acélbikák , for whom he made his debut in the Hungarian ice hockey league at the age of 17 . In 2008 and 2010 he won the Cup with the Hungarian Cup . After winning the second cup, he moved to Alba Volán Székesfehérvár . With the club from Central Transdanubia , he first played in the Hungarian ice hockey league and the MOL league . From 2012 he was on the ice for the team in the Austrian Ice Hockey League . In 2011 and 2012 he won the Hungarian championship with the team .

In July 2017, Orbán signed a contract abroad for the first time, with HC Nové Zámky in the Slovak Tipsport Extraliga . However, they transferred him to his home club Dunaújvárosi Acélbikák in August 2017, without Orbán having made a game for the Slovaks.

International

Orbán took part in the junior division for Hungary at the U18 World Championships 2007 and 2008 in Division II and the U20 World Championships 2008 and 2009 in Division I and in 2010 , when he achieved the best plus / minus balance of the tournament, in Division II part.

In the senior division, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in Division I in 2011 , 2014 and 2015 . He also represented his colors at the qualifying tournament for the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi 2014 .

Inline hockey

In addition to ice hockey, Orbán also plays inline hockey and is also a member of the Hungarian national team . At the 2013 World Cup he finished third with Hungary in Division I.
