The Atzels-Berg and Brecher-Berg nature reserve is located in the Kusel district in Rhineland-Palatinate around the 387.3 m high Atzelsberg and the 362.9 m high Brecheberg in the North Palatinate Bergland .

The 53.92 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection by ordinance of March 12, 1999 , extends north of the local community Langweiler and northwest of the local community Merzweiler . The B 270 runs directly on the western edge, the Glan tributary Jeckenbach flows south .

The area includes rocks, dry and semi-dry grasslands , orchards , fields extensively used, high Staudenfluren , hems and Raine , bushes and trees field, Rock dry forest , moderate dry wood and oak forest low as well as a source area .
