The Aue-Geest-Gymnasium Harsefeld is a high school in Harsefeld in the Lower Saxony district of Stade .

Catchment area

The Aue-Geest-Gymnaisum is responsible for the high school students from the primary schools of the combined community Harsefeld , the primary schools of the combined community Fredenbeck and the primary schools Wiegersen (combined community Apensen ) and since the school year 2018/19 also Bliedersdorf - Nottensdorf (combined community Horneburg ).

history

The school was founded under the name Harsefeld Gymnasium in 2004. On August 19, 2004, it went into operation for the 2004/2005 school year with the first 5th and 6th grades. In the 2005/2006 school year, the 7th year was added.

In August 2005, 21 teachers were teaching 346 students, six years later the number has tripled to 65 teachers. In the summer of 2006, school clothes were introduced which, however, are rarely or not at all worn by the students. Another attempt to introduce it was made by the student council in the 2016/17 school year.

In August 2006 the new school building was put into operation. This enabled pupils in grades 9 and 10, who had previously been taught in Stade at the Gymnasium Athenaeum , to be admitted and their own school canteen was set up. In the following school year, the upper level started at the Harsefeld Gymnasium with year 11. The first Abitur was taken in spring 2010.

Since the beginning of the 2012/2013 school year, the school has had the new school name "Aue-Geest-Gymnasium Harsefeld", chosen by all those involved in a democratic process.

Friends of the Harsefeld Gymnasium
