Auf der Heide is a settlement, but not an official district, of the municipality of Espenau in the Kassel district in Hesse .
Geographical location
On the heath , between the Habichtswälder Bergland in the west and the Reinhardswald in the northeast, lies between the Espenau district of Hohenkirchen in the west-southwest, the core town of Immenhausen in the north-northwest, its district of Holzhausen in the northeast and the Fulda-valley district of Rothwesten in the southeast. The small hamlet is located on the upper reaches of the small aspen tributary Höllgraben at about 270 m above sea level. NHN . With the Espenau part of the municipality Hohenkirchen it is connected via the district road 39; In the east this meets the state road 3232 (Holzhausen – Rothwesten).
Site and history
Heide is a former name of the homestead group. Auf der Heide consists of four former emigrant farms that were built in 1951 for displaced farmers. It used to belong to what was then the Rothwesten community in the former Hofgeismar district . In 1975 came at a Reversed My Dung to the municipality Espenau.
