August Reuss (District Administrator)

August Reuss (born July 1, 1902 in Stuttgart , † May 16, 1986 in Stuttgart-Riedenberg ) was a German administrative officer and district administrator in the Backnang district .

Life

Born the son of a senior government councilor , Reuss studied law in Munich and Tübingen after attending the Karls-Gymnasium in Stuttgart . During his studies in 1921 he became a member of the Normannia Tübingen fraternity . In 1926 he was promoted to Dr. iur. PhD .

After completing his studies, he joined the Württemberg interior administration in 1929 and was a member of the government at the Gerabronn Oberamt . In 1932 he was employed in the ministerial department for higher schools. In 1933 he became administrative administrator in Backnang and a member of the NSDAP . In the same year he went to the Ministry of Culture as an unskilled worker and later as a personnel reporter in the office of the Ministry of the Interior , where he became a member of the government in 1935. From 1936 to 1942 he was district administrator in the Backnang district. In 1942 he became deputy head of community and corporate affairs in the Ministry of the Interior. In 1949 he became senior government councilor and later government director and consultant in the office of the State Ministry of Württemberg-Baden and Baden-Württemberg . In 1957/58 he was head of the ministerial council . In 1965/66 he was promoted to ministerial director and retired in mid-1967.
