The Velbert-Nord motorway triangle (abbreviation: AD Velbert-Nord ; short form: Velbert-Nord triangle ) is a motorway triangle in North Rhine-Westphalia in the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region . It connects the federal highway 44 ( Aachen - Kassel ) with the federal highway 535 ( Velbert - Wuppertal ).
geography
The motorway triangle is in the urban area of Velbert in the Mettmann district . The closest districts are Velbert-Mitte and Langenhorst. It is located about 25 km northeast of Düsseldorf , about 15 km south of Essen and about 15 km north of Wuppertal .
The Velbert-Nord motorway triangle has junction number 37 on the A 44 and number 1 on the A 535.
Design and state of development
Both motorways have four lanes. The connecting ramp from the A 44-Ost to the A 535 is two-lane, the remaining connecting ramps are single-lane.
The motorway triangle was created as a complete triangle in a T-shape . On the A 44, the triangle forms a double junction with the Velbert-Nord AS .
Traffic volume
The triangle is used by around 39,000 vehicles every day. This makes it one of the least frequented motorway junctions in North Rhine-Westphalia.
