Aydın Yılmaz (born January 29, 1988 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish football player .

Career

He comes from the youth of Galatasaray Istanbul . In addition to his regular position in the left midfield, Aydın can also play on the right side or offensively in the center.

Aydın celebrated his first professional appearances in the 2005/2006 season, when he played strong games for Galatasaray in the second half of the season. He scored the winning goal at Konyaspor in stoppage time to make it 1-0 and played himself into the hearts of Galatasaray fans.

Aydın was not used that often in the 2006/2007 season. However, the two-footed youngster was held up by a few injuries. For the youth national teams of Turkey, he completed countless international matches.

In the 2007/08 season , Yılmaz went on loan to Vestel Manisaspor . However, he couldn't play a game there because he was seriously injured and the whole first half of the season was already over for him. Therefore, Aydın Yılmaz returned to Istanbul . Galatasaray awarded him again for the second half of the season to Istanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor . There he performed well. For the 2008/09 season , Aydın returned to the red and yellow . In addition, Galatasaray extended its current contract until 2013.

Yılmaz was awarded to Eskişehirspor until the end of the 2009/10 season . Eskişehirspor had a purchase option for him, but this was not used.

In the cup game against Sanica Boru Elazığspor on January 22, 2014 , Yılmaz twisted his ankle during a duel and suffered a fracture in this region. Due to this injury, he was out the rest of the season. No new contract has been submitted to Yılmaz for the 2015/16 season. Shortly thereafter, the midfielder signed with league rivals Kasımpaşa Istanbul . Here he played seven league games in his first season and remained without competitive appearances for the entire second season. When his contract ended, he left this club in the summer of 2017.

National team

Yılmaz played from the U-15 to U-21 for all junior teams in Turkey. On October 16, 2012, he made his debut for Turkey in the World Cup qualifier against Hungary . He was substituted on for Tunay Torun in the 46th minute .
