Bárbara Micheline do Monte Barbosa , Bárbara for short , (born July 4, 1988 in Recife ) is a Brazilian soccer player .

Club career

Bárbara began her football career in 2008 with Sport Recife , whose men's team played in the B series . In the meantime she came to Germany and in 2014 moved to BV Cloppenburg , where she only had four assignments. Bárbara has been back in Brazil since 2014 and is currently under contract with AE Kindermann from Caçador in the state of Santa Catarina .

National team

Bárbara made her debut in the Brazilian national team on September 2, 2007 in the game against Japan .

At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing , she made it to the final with Brazil, but lost 1-0 against the USA there and won the silver medal for Brazil in the Olympic football tournament.

She was also in the squad for the Brazilian women's Olympic team at the soccer tournament of the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro .

So far, Bárbara has played 41 games for Brazil.
