Büdefeld (Korbach)

Büdefeld is a desolate place in the district of Goldhausen , a district of Korbach in the north Hessian district of Waldeck-Frankenberg .

The settlement was located on a small stream at 440 m above sea ​​level immediately east of the L 3083 state road from Lengefeld to Eppe . It was first mentioned in a document on September 15, 980 as "villa in Budineveldon", when the King and later Emperor Otto II gave the Corvey monastery properties in "Budineveldon" in Ittergau in the county of in exchange for the districts of Meginrichesdorf and Memleben Count Asicho gave. The place was probably abandoned in the early 16th century.

According to Ganßauge u. a .:

  • the place was declared in the second quarter of the 14th century as "Bodenvelt" and in 1501 as "Bodenfelde";
  • were in the 14th century two farms in Bodenfelde Waldeck fiefdom of those of Bodenfelde;
  • In 1402 the Lords of Elle renounced the estate at Bodenfelde against Brosecke / Ambrosius von Viermünden ;
  • the place was referred to as a village in 1457;
  • Johann von Viermünden sold his farm in Bodenfelde in 1501;
  • In 1518 the lords of Grafschaft waived their tithe in favor of those of Viermünden.

The place was probably eponymous for the noble family Biedenfeld , who had their headquarters in Berghofen near Battenberg .
