Bükkzsérc is a municipality in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county .
Geographical location
Bükkzsérc is located on the southern edge of the Bükk National Park in northern Hungary , 30 kilometers from the Miskolc county seat . Neighboring communities are Bogács 7 km and Cserépfalu 2 km away. The next town Mezőkövesd is about 17 km south of Bükkzsérc.
Attractions
- Roman Catholic church Fájdalmas anya , built by order of the Bishop of Eger 1776–1780 in plait style
- Reformed church ( Református templom ) from 1828 with wood carvings
- Municipal house ( Községi emlékház ) with changing local history exhibitions
- About 1.5 km southwest of the town center there are several wine cellars built in tuff and the Pelyhe Wine Cellar Museum ( Pelyhe Pince-Múzeum )
- On the 531 m high Hódos mountain ( Hódos hegy ) on the north-western edge of the village there is a horseshoe-shaped rock formation, from which there is a good view of Bükkzsérc.
