Mezőkövesd small area
The small area Mezőkövesd ( Hungarian Mezőkövesdi kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County in northern Hungary until the end of 2012 . In the course of the administrative reform of 2013, all 21 localities, expanded by two localities from the small area Mezőcsát, were transferred to the subsequent district of Mezőkövesd ( Mezőkövesdi járás in Hungarian ).
At the end of 2012 the small area had 41,749 inhabitants on an area of 679.63 km². The administrative seat was in Mezőkövesd .
