Mezőcsát small area

The small area Mezőcsát (Hungarian Mezőcsáti kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) in the south of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county until the end of 2012 . In the course of the administrative reform of 2013, seven municipalities were assigned to the following district Mezőcsát (Hungarian Mezőcsáti járás ) and two to the district Mezőkövesd (Hungarian Mezőkövesdi járás ).

At the end of 2012 the small area had 14,132 inhabitants on an area of ​​378.49 km². The administrative seat was in the only city Mezőcsát (6,036 Ew.).
