Edelény small area

The small area Edelény (Hungarian Edelényi kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within the Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county until the end of 2012 . In the course of the administrative reform of 2013, 45 localities in the successor district of Edelény (Hungarian: Edelényi járás ) were dissolved, and two localities changed to the district of Putnok (Hungarian : Putnoki járás ).

At the end of 2012, 34,844 people lived in an area of ​​783.23 km². The administrative headquarters were in Edelény .
