Rakaca is a municipality in the county of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén .
geography
Rakaca is located in northern Hungary , 67 km north of Miskolc . Neighboring communities are Rakacaszend 6 km, Szászfa 5 km and Viszló 4 km. The nearest town, Szendrő, is 24 km from Rakaca.
A gray, banded marble was quarried in the municipality. It was used for stone carving and as a source for road construction materials. The quarries are abandoned today.
