Szerencs small area
The small area Szerencs [ ˈsɛrɛnʧ ] ( Hungarian Szerencsi kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County until the end of 2012 . In the course of the administrative reform of 2013, it was mainly transferred to the successor district of Szerencs (Hungarian: Szerencsi járás ) (14 of 18 localities). Two villages each changed to the districts of Miskolc and Gönc.
At the end of 2012 the small area had 41,937 inhabitants on 498.92 km². The administrative seat was in the only town of Szerencs . Taktaharkány (3,658 Ew.) And Tiszalúc (5,247 Ew.) Were large communities (Hungarian nagyközség ).
