Csincse is a municipality in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county .
Geographical location
Csincse is located in the north of Hungary , 25 kilometers from the Miskolc county seat . Neighboring communities are Mezőkeresztes 9 km and Vatta 5 km away. The nearest town, Emőd, is about 11 km from Csincse.
history
The region has been inhabited since the Great Migration . After the fall of Eger Castle in 1553, its commandant Gergely Bornemissza was captured by the Turks here . After the battle of Mezőkeresztes the village became deserted and the area was added to Mezőkeresztes . In the second half of the 19th century Gyula Hoffmann bought the land and built up a large farm. The present village developed from this and in 1994 Csincse became an independent municipality.
