Neighboring towns are Libice in the north, Drhovy , Drhovce, Radčany, Nechalov and Slovanská Lhota in the Northeast, Vaječník and Žebrák the east, Nečín and Jablonce the southeast, Strupina, Obory , Luhy and Pankovka in the south, Jelence, Buda and Holanka in the southwest, Višňová and Chaloupky in the west and Hora, Ouběnice and Skalice in the northwest.

history

The Seltschaner Steig, an old trade route branching off from the Golden Steig and guarded by the Warta ( Strážný vrch ) near Skalice, led through the wooded area . A castle is also said to have been located on the Bělohrad hill south of the Warta.

Kurzbach was originally a mansion, which probably consisted of a small castle complex on the Bělohrad and a farm with a settlement at its foot. Nothing is known about the castle and its demise. According to oral tradition, old building stones, horseshoes, spurs and a Roman coin were found at the site of the desert castle, later called Bílý hrad . Until the 17th century, the Kurzbach estate was owned by the barons Kurzbach von Trachenberg . After the last owner from this branch of the family died during the Thirty Years' War, his heirs sold the estate Bělohrad called Kurzbachský to the Dobřisch domain , which was sold to Bruno von Mansfeld by the Bohemian Chamber in 1630 . The next owner from 1644 was Franz Maximilian von Mansfeld . Until 1714 the village belonged to the Podbrder district, after which it became part of the Berauner district .

After the male line had died out in 1780 with the death of Joseph Wenzel von Mansfeld , his sister Maria Isabella inherited the Dobřisch rule. The name and coat of arms were merged with the family of her husband Franz de Paula Gundaker von Colloredo-Waldsee-Mels to the family Colloredo-Mannsfeld . After Maria Isabella's death in 1794, her son Rudolph Joseph II inherited the property. After the death of the childless Rudolf Joseph II von Colloredo-Mannsfeld, the rule fell to his nephew Franz de Paula Gundaccar II von Colloredo-Mannsfeld in 1844 .

In 1846 the scattered settlement Kurzbach consisted of four houses with 21 residents. In the place there was an authoritarian Meierhof and an authoritarian hunter's house. The single-shift hunter's house Strupina lay apart. The parish was Wischnowa . Until the middle of the 19th century, Kurzbach remained subject to the Dobřisch rule.

After the abolition of patrimonial Kurzbach formed from 1850 a district of the municipality Nečín in the judicial district Dobříš. From 1868 Kurzbach belonged to the Příbram district . At the end of the 19th century, Kurzbach was divided; the settlement Kurzbach was removed as Kurzbach 1. díl / Kurzbach 1st part after Dušníky , while the single layer Strupina remained under the new name Kurzbach 2. díl / Kurzbach 2nd part at Nečín. Before 1920 Kurzbach 1. díl became part of the newly formed municipality of Skalice. After the end of the Second World War, Kurzbach 1. díl was renamed Bělohrad in 1945. On some maps the place was then incorrectly called Krátký Potok . In 1976 Bělohrad was incorporated into Nečín together with Skalice. In 1991, Bělohrad had six inhabitants; in the 2001 census, ten people lived in the four houses. Bělohrad today consists of seven addresses. The place is also called Kucbach by the locals .

Local division

The district Bělohrad is part of the cadastral district Skalice u Dobříše.
