Rutana is a province of Burundi . It is located in the southeast of the country and borders on Tanzania . Their capital is also called Rutana .

2007 Rutana has about 306,000 inhabitants.

Rutana is divided into the six districts ( communes ) Bukemba , Giharo , Gitanga , Mpinga Kayove , Musongati and Rutana.
