The bass violin is a district of the Lower Saxony district town of Goslar am Harz . The district, in which mainly businesses are located, is located northwest of the old town of Goslar and west of Jürgenohl . The Hildesheim – Goslar railway line and Bundesstraße 6 run to the west .

history

The development of the large-scale industrial area between B 6 and Grauhöfer Landwehr  - the flanks of the "Bassgeige" - began in 1961. In 1963 the first companies settled there; by 2013 there were around 300 with over 5,000 employees.

education

The "Goldene Aue" school center was rebuilt in 1975. There you will find the Realschule Goldene Aue , the Christian-von-Dohm-Gymnasium and the vocational schools Goslar-Baßgeige / Seesen.

Culture and sights

On Hildesheimer Straße there is a sculpture in public space entitled Communication , which the artist Egbert Haneke created in 1992. At the corner of Gray Höfer Landwehr / Stapelner road is a memorial stone in honor of the since 2002 sub-camp of Buchenwald concentration camp (camp number 255), which was located from 1940 to 1942 at this point.
