Bachem is a district of the municipality of Losheim am See in the Merzig-Wadern district ( Saarland ).

Towards the end of the migration , Frankish settlers settled between the brook and the hill. They gave the village at that time the name Bachheim . The village owes the oldest written mention to the monks of the Trier Abbey of St. Maximin , which was the most important landlord in the Middle Ages .

On January 1, 1974, the previously independent municipality of Bachem was incorporated into the municipality of Losheim.
