Niederlosheim is a district of the municipality of Losheim am See in the Merzig-Wadern district ( Saarland ). On January 1, 1974, the previously independent municipality of Niederlosheim was incorporated into the municipality of Losheim.
Stone Age relics found in the immediate vicinity indicate that the place was settled in prehistoric times. There are visible indications of a settlement in Roman times . A Roman road ran through the town from Trier to Saarbrücken . Today a large part of the area consists of deciduous and coniferous forests . A wood fiber board plant and a larger electrical installation company are located in Niederlosheim. In the district there is a Catholic kindergarten, as well as a multi-purpose hall.

The station Lower Losheim is situated on the railway line Merzig South Büschfeld which merely of museum trains will be busy. The route is operated by steam trains from the Museum Railway Club Losheim am See .
