history
Teichenau was first mentioned in a document in 1307 by the Wroclaw Bishop Heinrich von Würben , who confirmed the income from Teichenau to the church in Würben . It belonged to the Duchy of Schweidnitz , which after the death of Duke Bolko II in 1368 fell as an heir to the future Bohemian King Wenceslaus . He was the only son of the Bohemian Queen and Duchess of Schweidnitz, Anna von Schweidnitz . In 1369 Teichenau came to the Zobter Burgrave Nikolaus von Sachenkirch as a fief . In the 15th century Teichenau was a Saxon fiefdom, and in 1499 it was acquired by Paul Herden, who sold it to Hans Hotzendorf. He sold Teichenau in 1545 to Hans von Ronau auf Guhlau, whose descendants stayed there until 1633. It subsequently belonged to the von Luck family.
After the First Silesian War , Teichenau fell to Prussia in 1742, like almost all of Silesia , from whom it was given as a fief to the Lords of Zedlitz in 1775 . After the reorganization of Prussia, it came to the province of Silesia in 1815 and from 1816 belonged to the district of Schweidnitz , with which it remained connected until 1945. In 1874 the Teichenau district was formed, to which the rural communities of Roth Kirschdorf, Säbischdorf, Teichenau, Tunkendorf and Zülzendorf as well as the associated manor districts belonged. In 1785 Teichenau consisted of three gardeners , 22 cottagers , a farm and two water mills. At that time the number of inhabitants was 187 and rose to 271 in 1866. In 1884 the Teichenau rule was converted into a family entrepre- neurship and in 1917 a majorate . The last owner was Karl August von Zedlitz, whose family was expropriated in 1945.
As a result of the Second World War , Teichenau fell to Poland in 1945, together with almost all of Silesia, and was initially renamed Tachonow and in 1946 Bagieniec . The German population was expelled. From 1975 to 1998 Bagieniec belonged to the Wałbrzych Voivodeship (German Waldenburg ). This was dissolved with the administrative reform in 1999. Since then Bagieniec has belonged to the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
