The Bad Bellingen train station is, next to the Rheinweiler train station, one of two train stations in the Baden-Württemberg community of Bad Bellingen in the Lörrach district . It has two platform tracks and belongs to Deutsche Bahn station category 6 . According to the railway building and operating regulations, Bad Bellingen station is no longer a station , but a stopping point .
location
Bad Bellingen train station is very centrally located in the Bad Bellingen community. From here all important facilities and sights can be reached quickly. The Gasthof Hirschen restaurant is located directly opposite the train station on the west side . Also on the west side there is a small P + R - parking , as well as covered parking facilities for bicycles and motorbikes .
history
The Bad Bellingen station was along with the stretch Schliengen - Efringen that of Mannheim over Karlsruhe and Freiburg to Basel leading railway line Mannheim-Basel opened (Rhine Valley train) on 8 November 1848th The ticket issuing office was opened at the same time.
1865, almost 20 years after the opening of the railway line, was the reception building opened to the train station Bad Bellingen, which still stands today.
In 1884 a goods hall with a loading station was added to the station reception building. In 1965, goods loading in Bad Bellingen was abandoned and in 1978 the corresponding building was demolished.
On September 1, 1991, the ticket and baggage claim area and the waiting room in the station building were closed. The reception building has been empty since then.
By December 2013, the platforms in Bad Bellingen train station were slightly raised and lengthened to 210 meters.
In the summer of 2014, the section between Schliengen and Haltingen via Bad Bellingen was completely renovated. The tracks, sleepers and the tunnels have been renewed.
On October 9, 2015, the station building was auctioned by the Karhausen AG auction house in Berlin on behalf of Deutsche Bahn .

Bad Bellingen is located in the tariff area of the Regio Verkehrsverbund Lörrach (RVL). In the south (Basel) there are transitional tariffs to the tariff association Northwest Switzerland (TNW).
Rail transport
The city is connected to Basel and Freiburg im Breisgau and Offenburg by Regional Express and Regionalbahn trains . Both lines run every hour, with additional connections during rush hour .
The closest ICE stops are Basel Bad Bf in the south and Freiburg (Breisgau) Hbf in the north. The next stop for individual IC and TGV trains is Müllheim (Baden) .

Bus transport
The Hertinger Straße bus stop is on the east side of Bad Bellingen train station . There the overland bus lines 4 and 15 of the Lörrach city traffic stop , which are operated by the Südwestdeutsche Verkehrs-Aktiengesellschaft (SWEG). These connect Bad Bellingen with Schliengen and Kandern (line 4) as well as Blansingen , Efringen-Kirchen and Binzen (line 15).
Varia
From 1912 to 1925 the later 13th Archbishop of Freiburg and honorary citizen of the Bad Bellingen community, Hermann Schäufele (1906–1977) lived in the station.
