The Chivasso – Asti railway is a single-track, non-electrified branch line in Italy . It is operated by RFI , the infrastructure branch of the national railway company FSI .

history

The line was put into operation on October 20, 1912.

In 1988, the stations Brozolo, Chiusano-Cossombrato, Cocconato, Cunico-Scandeluzza, Lauriano, San Sebastiano Po, Serravalle d'Asti and Sessant were downgraded to stopping points .

From the timetable change on June 17, 2012, passenger traffic in the Piedmont region was shut down. The route will formally remain in operation, even if it is no longer passable.
