Baiersdorf is a district of the town of Riedenburg in the Lower Bavarian district of Kelheim .

geography

The church village is about four and a half kilometers east of Riedenburg and is at an altitude of 532  m above sea level. NHN . The place is in the southern part of the historical area Tangrintel , a predominantly wooded plateau, which lies between the rivers of the Altmühl and the Schwarzen Laber .

history

Due to the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , the place became an independent rural community, to which the parish village of Keilsdorf also belonged. In the course of the municipal territorial reform in Bavaria carried out in the 1970s , the municipality of Baiersdorf was incorporated into the city of Riedenburg on May 1, 1978. In 1987 Baiersdorf had 116 inhabitants.
