history

As a result of the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , the village became part of the independent rural community of Meihern , to which the parish of Deising, the village of Flügelsberg and the wasteland of Martlhof also belonged. In the course of the municipal territorial reform carried out in Bavaria in the 1970s, the municipality of Altmühlmünster (with the hamlet Laubfeld (Laubhof) and the three deserted areas Ambergerhof , Eggmühl and Mühlthal ) was added to the municipality of Meihern on April 1, 1971 , with Martlhof and Mühlthal were later reassigned to the then still independent municipality of Zell . On January 1, 1978, Sankt Gregor was incorporated into the city of Riedenburg together with the remaining community of Meihern. In 1961 Saint Gregory had 25 inhabitants.

traffic

The connection to the public road network is established by a communal road, which comes from the state road St 2230 , which runs about a kilometer to the west, and passes a little north of the town. From this a spur road branches off to Sankt Gregor, about 200 meters to the south. Access to the Federal Motorway 9 is possible at the Denkendorf junction about 16 kilometers west-southwest of the village .
