Flügelsberg is one of 44 officially named districts of the Lower Bavarian city ​​of Riedenburg .

The village is located about five and a half kilometers northwest of the center of Riedenburg and is at an altitude of 476  m above sea level. NHN .

history

As a result of the administrative reforms in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , the village became part of the rural community of Meihern , which also included the parish of Deising and the hamlet of Sankt Gregor and the wasteland of Martlhof . In the course of the municipal territorial reform in Bavaria in the 1970s, on April 1, 1971, the municipality of Altmühlmünster with the hamlet Laubfeld (Laubhof) and the three wastelands Ambergerhof , Eggmühl and Mühlthal were added to the municipality of Meihern, with Martlhof and Mühlthal later being part of the the former municipality of Zell were re- congregated . On January 1, 1978, the remaining municipality of Meihern was incorporated into the city of Riedenburg. In 1987 Flügelsberg had 46 inhabitants.

The connection to the public road network is established by a communal road, which comes from the state road St 2230 , which runs about half a kilometer to the west, and passes a little south of the town. From this a spur road branches off, which reaches the southeast outskirts of Flügelsberg after about 400 meters. Access to the Federal Motorway 9 is possible at the Denkendorf junction about 16 kilometers west-southwest of the village .
