The village of Schloßprunn is part of the town of Riedenburg in the Lower Bavarian district of Kelheim . The place only consists of Prunn Castle and some properties to the east of it. history

As a result of the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , the place became part of the independent rural community of Prunn , to which the villages of Einthal , Emmerthal , Nusshausen and Pillhausen also belonged. In the course of the municipal territorial reform carried out in Bavaria in the 1970s , Schloßbrunn was incorporated into the town of Riedenburg together with the entire municipality of Prunn in 1978. At the end of the 1980s, Schloßbrunn had 13 residents.
