Keilsdorf is a district of the town of Riedenburg in the Lower Bavarian district of Kelheim .

geography

The church village is about six kilometers east of Riedenburg and is at an altitude of 512  m above sea level. NHN . The place is in the southern part of the historical area Tangrintel , a predominantly wooded plateau, which lies between the rivers of the Altmühl and the Schwarzen Laber .

history

The administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century made the place part of the independent rural community of Baiersdorf . In the course of the municipal territorial reform carried out in Bavaria in the 1970s , Keilsdorf was incorporated into the city of Riedenburg on May 1, 1978, together with the municipality of Baiersdorf. In 1987 Keilsdorf had 67 inhabitants.

The connection to the public road network is made by a communal road that runs through the town coming from the west of Baiersdorf and continues in a south-south-west direction to the state road St 2230 .
