Baptiste Giabiconi (* 9. November 1989 in Marseille ) is a from Marignane in southern France originating French model and a singer .

Career

Giabiconi was discovered as a model in a French gym in 2008 and shortly thereafter became known for a sunglasses campaign for Karl Lagerfeld . Since then he has been under contract with the New York model agency DNA Model Management . Lagerfeld chose Giabiconi to be his muse and has worked with him very often since then. In addition, Giabiconi became an almost constant companion of the fashion tsar and also achieved a higher degree of popularity. In 2009 Giabiconi appeared in magazines such as Vogue Paris, Vogue Nippon, Vogue Germany, V Man, Wallpaper Magazine, Elle Italia, Purple Fashion, V Magazine, Harper's Bazaar and Marie Claire Italy.

Giabiconi was seen in advertising campaigns for the brands Chanel , Karl Lagerfeld, Giorgio Armani , Fendi , Baldessarini and Just Cavalli . On Karl Lagerfeld's initiative, he also presented numerous Chanel collections on the catwalk as one of the few male models from 2008 onwards . Chanel mainly produces women's clothing, but occasionally shows women's models interpreted for men at the catwalk shows. The website Models.com listed Giabiconi in the top 50 best models for almost two years until 2011 . Lagerfeld also dedicated several of his photo exhibitions to his muse, most recently in 2010. In 2011, Giabiconi appeared in the Pirelli calendar as Apollon and Narcissus .

After Karl Lagerfeld already said that the Frenchman was planning to become a singer, Giabiconi's first single "Showtime" was released in 2011, including a corresponding video. In January 2012 the next single "One Night in Paradise" was released. This song was the first release from the album "Oxygen".

In 2011 he took part in the second season of the dance show Danse avec les stars and reached third place.
