Barbara Baron (born August 30, 1920 in Cochem ; † December 12, 1984 there ) was a German government director .

Life

Before her studies, Barbara Baron attended all schools in Cochem up to the Abitur . First she studied economics at the universities of Cologne , Mainz and Vienna . She then completed a degree in administrative sciences at the University of Speyer .

From 1948 to 1958 she was first a senior civil servant in the state government of Rhineland-Palatinate . Her dissertation in 1958 included the topic of problems of reorganizing social aid for young people and suggestions for their solution . From 1958 to 1963 she was a senior civil servant in the Federal Ministry of the Interior in Bonn , from 1963 then a senior civil servant in the Saarland state administration , in 1964 then government director at the state youth welfare office and finally on November 1, 1971, she was appointed chief government director.

On April 30, 1979 Barbara Baron was for health reasons in the retirement staggered. Your successful work in the further development of youth welfare in Saarland was highly praised. In particular, it was about the appropriate further development of youth association work, the creation of a basis for the technical improvement of personnel structures in kindergartens, as well as a comprehensive qualification of religious sisters, some of whom only had insufficient specialist knowledge. An accident in her own apartment put an end to her life.
