Barbara Lindquist
Barbara Lindquist (born July 1, 1969 in Wilmington ) is a former American triathlete .
Career
Barbara Lindquist started as a professional athlete in the Triathlon World Cup from 1996 to 2005.
In 2002 she was runner-up in triathlon in Mexico on the short distance (1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running). Lindquist started for the United States at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens , where he finished ninth. Her nickname is Barb . Her husband Loren Lindquist was also her trainer.
In 2005 she announced the end of her professional career and she has been a trainer ever since.
She was nominated for Hall of Fame induction by the International Triathlon Union (ITU) in 2014 .
